400G MT to 42.5° & 8° FA

The 400G MT to Dual-Angle FA Breakout Cable is a highly specialized, state-of-the-art optical interconnect engineered for the most complex photonic integrated circuit (PIC) packaging requirements. It seamlessly transitions a standard high-density MT multi-fiber interface into two distinct Fiber Array (FA) branches, featuring specifically tailored end-face angles: 42.5° and 8°. This unique dual-angle design allows a single MT link to simultaneously couple with different types of optical structures on a silicon photonics chip (e.g., total internal reflection (TIR) mirrors, grating couplers, and standard edge waveguides).

Applications:
Complex Silicon Photonics (SiPh) Chip Coupling
Ideal for PICs that incorporate multiple coupling mechanisms. For example, routing some channels to a surface grating coupler (requiring a specific angled reflection) and other channels to an edge waveguide (requiring an 8° APC face).
400G/800G High-Speed Optical Transceiver Packaging
Provides a compact, multi-functional interface inside next-gen optical modules, allowing a single MT receptacle to service different optical engines or sensing units within the transceiver package.
Wafer-Level & Chip-Level Optical Testing
Enables engineers to simultaneously test different types of optical ports on a photonic chip using a single test setup, significantly reducing alignment time and equipment complexity.
TIR & Grating Coupling Testing
The 42.5° branch is highly effective for testing TIR structures or specific grating designs requiring angled light injection, while the 8° branch handles standard edge testing.
Compliance & Quality:
Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and fully RoHS compliant. Each custom breakout cable undergoes rigorous 3D end-face geometry verification (especially for the 42.5° angle) and 100% optical testing (IL/RL) across all channels to guarantee premium performance, consistency, and field reliability.
